Production mechanic EFZ

Do you enjoy technology and mechanics? Are you a skilled craftsman and love working with metals? Then an apprenticeship as a production mechanic (federal certificate EFZ) at Perlen Papier could be perfect for you.

This is what the training looks like

Your training will include maintenance and assembly work on our gigantic, modern systems as well as the production of parts. We will train you in the “Maintenance” specialization.

The apprenticeship lasts 3 years and you will obtain the Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ). You will attend vocational school one day a week.

In the first and second year of your apprenticeship, you will work in our workshop and manufacture spare parts for our systems. You will acquire basic skills in turning, drilling and milling.

From the third year of your apprenticeship, you will be part of the maintenance team and carry out inspections on the production facilities.

At the end of your apprenticeship, you will have all the technical skills you need for your next career move.

You have a level B secondary school diploma with good math grades.

Polymechanic EFZ with shortened duration thanks to entry into the 2nd year of basic training.

Professional examination with federal certificate
Z. E.g. production specialist, aircraft technician – mechanics / avionics, automation specialist, technical business management assistant.

Higher technical examination for industrial foreman.

Higher technical college
E.g. graduate technician HF mechanical engineering, graduate technician HF electrical engineering, graduate technician HF systems engineering, graduate technician HF microtechnology.

University of Applied Sciences
Z. E.g. Bachelor of Science (FH) in mechanical engineering, automotive and vehicle technology, systems engineering or mechatronics – with the appropriate educational background.
